Baby Grant’s last day as a newborn

I am so sad. Grant is 28 days old today (4 weeks…sorry, didn’t mean to insult your intelligence.) and that means that tomorrow he will no longer be classified as a newborn. He will be an infant. How did it go so fast? He is doing well. He is on a very expensive formula called Alimentum in an effort to help his bottom and his digestive problems. He doesn’t have diarrhea as bad anymore and his bottom healed. He had another flare up a couple of days ago so I am now cutting dairy from my diet in case what little breastmilk he gets is causing the problem. One pediatrician did give us a suggestion that really helped Grant so I’ll pass it along. I now use Maalox on his bottom! Every time he poops I clean him up and then apply liquid Maalox (okay, it’s Equate brand thank you Wal-Mart but you get it) with a cotton ball and allow to dry. I then apply Triple Paste diaper cream and this has worked miracles! I thought about taking before and after photos but…  He is such a sweet baby and I am loving every minute of him!

He is changing so much! This was about 2 weeks ago.

He has lost all of his hair on top since these pictures…but we don’t have a problem with bald men…in fact Ben and Ethan are about the only men in my life who aren’t bald yet!

    Ash,
He is so cute! Is his hair redish like Emily’s? Oh…and by the way, Mike wants you to know that he still has all of his hair! I know its strange for the McCartney men to still have hair but there is the bald and then there is the beautiful!

  • Cute, cute! I know all about Alimentum…Gabe was on it for 6 months, but it worked like a charm despite taking out a second mortgage to pay for it. I’m glad someone else’s house is a circus at times and not just mine; we have had interesting outcomes with projectile pee, hairspray, scissors and crayons, etc., so I feel your pain…or hysteria! Hang in there…they’ll be in college soon enough. Loved the pictures!
